Programme area
Communities and accessible infrastructure.
Spaces and services that people with different needs can use. We develop partnership approaches to accessibility, local resilience and infrastructure development.
Strong communities need accessible spaces, capable teams and solutions that can be maintained over time. NAMIR’s focus includes infrastructure for public benefit, universal design, energy efficiency and the capacity of local teams.
Projects should begin with residents’ needs and account for the future maintenance of facilities. We invite communities, architects, engineers, universities and businesses to develop practical solutions together.
